Sculpteo is lauching a new material for your 3D prints: Alumide!

Alumide is a material that you may have never seen or tried before. It is a very special material combining polyamide and aluminium, which means that it is both a very strong and good-looking material!

Alumide lets you create strong models with details and quality. Layer thickness is 0.15mm (0.006 inch). Minimum size of visible details is 0.5mm (0.01 inch) and minimum wall thickness is 1mm (0.03 inch).

The maximum size for your objects made of Alumide at Sculpteo is 308 x 308 x 600 mm (12.1 x 12.1 x 23,6 inches)

Alumide is more rigid than regular plastic. Because it is made of aluminium and polyamide, Alumide is a perfect material for final products requiring strength and very good-looking surface. It comes in a matte grey texture with a bit of shiny dust and works perfectly with complicated parts involving moving parts.
