Sculpteo is part of the Startup Weekend Transmedia happening on February 1st to 3rd 2013 in San Francisco ! 54 hours to build rich, immersive and interactive stories illustrating the topic “The City”.

For a full week-end, teams gathering programmers, media producers, designers, developers and marketers will work together to create immersive transmedia experiences.

The idea behind “transmedia”: building cross-platforms experiences. It can be for example a TV show that lets you interact with the characters through their blogs or in real life. A game that you download on your tablet but implies that you actually go discover your city. A neighborhood project that lets you connect through online local documentaries and apps…

Transmedia is a very exciting way to create lively experiences using media. How can you use 3D printing as a media producer or an advertiser ? This will be a question to answer this week-end. 3D printing creates real products from 3D ideas. It brings virtual models to physical life… 3D printing is transmedia !
