Aug. 10, 2010 - Visit of the production site, in Arreau (Pyrenees)

Animated by a wish to inject dynamisn into the region of the Pyrenees, Sculpteo's founders have established the production site in Arreau, a district to which they have become attached. Arreau, this magnificient country of Bigore (France) is in the heart of the mountains, and has thus welcomed Sculpteo and the EOS, a machine that allows to print objects in white polyamid through a sintering powder process, which you can watch for the first time in the video.

Aug. 6, 2010 - Tutorial : "From Sculptris to Sculpteo": three points

On fascinating trick is the free 3D software Sculptris, which needs no installation on your computer and which you can download for free at Pixologic.com. On many aspects, the software is similar to its big brother named Zbrush, but is less developed and consequently, in addition to being very aesthetic and accessible even to those who have never designed anything in 3D, Sculptris is also very easy to handle.

Here at last is the post about our "open door" evening, on July 8th !
All Sculpteo's team got mobilized to welcome you to our open door evening in Vanves, during which we have spent a very agreable moment in your company, having a drinking (and crackers) while such gathered.

That evening was a valuable opportunity that unabled us to exchange with you, and to have a concrete preview of the use of our objects ; thanks to the rail transport modelling fans that came with their models, for that matter. More over, we have appreciated your curiosity and your interest in our activity, because each is a fuel for Sculpteo!

As you certainly all know, when one intends to switch from one 3D modeling software to another, the ideal and most common file format is the obj, as it has been adopted by most of the 3D graphics applications. All being well, the obj format is also one of the (cf. formats) that are supported on our website.

June 24, 2010 - The repair of 3D models is improving on sculpteo.com

picto_repair Our R&D team is proud to present you the last improvements concerning the 3D models repair, to make them fit with a 3D printing.

Now, the repair algorithms are playing automatically when you upload your 3D file on sculpteo.com. The message "Processing your design" appears on the screen, and you have to wait a few moments.




June 21, 2010 - Sculpteo and Pixologic say “Konnichiwa” !

It is not that we are planning to translate our homepage in Japanese (actually we might. Someday).

The great news is that you will be able to meet Sculpteo's and Pixologic's (Pixologic is Zbrush's publisher) team during the Japan Expo , from the 1st to the 4th of July at the Parc des Expositions (Paris Nord – Villepinte).

You will be able to witness the whole object's making, from its simple idea, through its designing on the 3D software, and to its real materialization. During these 4 days, we expect to modelize and print plenty of kawai personalized objects!
