Elise Fouin Collaborates with Sculpteo for the Designer’s Days 2012

We met the French designer Elise Fouin a few months ago and were glad to collaborate with her on a project presented at the design exhibition Masque(s) happening during the Designer’s Days in Paris.

Elise Fouin is a French designer who is making materials an essential part of her vision for design. Her work involves projects playing with sensitive and tactile sensations. She is an active thinker and doer of design for sustainable development, by using already used objects and transforming them into new unique and delicate designs.

For this Designer’s Days project, Elise Fouin and Sculpteo worked hands in hands to create unique 3D printed ceramic plates. Elise Fouin designed plates in the shape of Paris. In the bottom of the plate, the Seine delicately appears when the food is done.

Rapid prototyping was really meaningful for this project. Thanks to 3D printing, it took only a few weeks between the first sketch and the final product to be exhibited.
