Welcome to the first french Mini Maker Faire in Saint-Malo!

For the first time, France welcomes its first Mini Maker Faire. A great occasion to go out with the family to discover the “Maker” movement in France.

For the newcomers, Maker Faire is a worldwide series of showcases created by Make magazine. The idea behind each event is to feature the works of makers, tinkerers, engineers, artists, science clubs, or students of the whole world. It’s a celebration of the Do It Yourself spirit.

Mini Maker Faire Saint-Malo is a two days festival between October the 11th and 12th. It opens at 10am and closes at 7pm. The whole thing takes place at the IUT Saint-Malo. During this event, we’ll be able to meet all the frontrunners of the “Maker” industry on their booth and participate to different workshops about robotics, 3D printing, video games, and event woodworking.

You’ll also find different conferences about the Maker movement. The goal is to understand the philosophy behind it and its developments in the future. Several leading figures of the science world will attend the two days event.

On Friday, MiniMakerFaire Saint Malo will welcome 600 pupils from middle and high school.

We’re happy to see such an initiative pop up in France, and we want to thank the Fabshop for the organization of this Mini Maker Faire.
