Limited editions of Pharrell Williams’ perspective chair

Subscription to curated boxes are a hit right now. From home decoration to food and wine, there are lots of different offers out there. But Quarterly was the very first to 3D printed products in a box, and we’re thrilled they chose us for this collaboration.
For those who don’t know it yet, Quarterly is a service that enables people to subscribe to influential contributors and then receive a box of objects in the post curated by that person every three months. Each product included in a Quarterly box reflects the curator customers subscribe to.
We’ve collaborated with Quaterly to include a 3D printed product inside its October box. To create the Pharrell Williams’ Quarterly package, we’ve manufactured 1500 mini-chairs which are miniature reproductions of the “perspective chair” designed by Pharrell Williams in collaboration with Domeau & Pérès.
For us, this is an excellent example of how Sculpteo’s 3D printing service is being used to produce limited edition works of art or objects. 3D printing allows us to produce small series of an object. It doesn’t necessarily need to be just a few pieces, we can produce up to thousands of pieces. Another example of this kind of cooperation is our collaboration with Withings.
