Hack4France : imagine a new service with Sculpteo’s API and win a trip to San Francisco!

Last month, we asked Sculpteo blog readers to vote for our API in the Hack4France run. Thanks to you, our API has been selected. The winners of this online hackathon are winning a trip to San Francisco.
Now that our API has been selected, you have 6 weeks to create a team and prototype a fonctional service using of the APIs selected by Hack4France. Of course, we deeply encourage you to use Sculpteo’s one, but you can use another one or even combine the ones you like the most.
What’s in it for you? The Hack4France team came up with 12 500€ of prizes, including a trip to San Francisco for the winners. It might also be the good moment for your team to shine, particularly during the Finale. Sponsors like Total, or Bouygues will look at each project closely.
You have until June 8th to send your application and prototype. And just to give you a little push, Microsoft is giving away free Azure pass to host your application during the competition.
Just a heads up, there is a service we’d like to see at Sculpteo. It’s an app or a website that connects 3D printing with Jaccede API to let visually impaired persons experience even more things in their surroundings. We thought it could be something nice, but feel free to come up with different ideas. That’s what it’s all about after all.
Good luck !
