Come meet us with Kiblind @Point Ephémère !

Chess is the new hype ! So they say. For the release of their 52nd edition, the visual culture magazine Kiblind is investigating the come-back of chess in our life. Together with Kiblind, we’re challenging people to make the best 3D model of any chess figurine and of course we’ll be 3D printing the winning figurines. To kick-off this awesome contest and for the release of this Spring-Summer edition, Kiblind (and Sculpteo) is inviting you all to the Point Ephémère this Thursday, April 9th. Chess, 3D printing and drinks will be there.

Smartphones buzzing, new notifications every minutes, commuting between two subway stations, that merely explains what we all feel at the end of the day. And that’s precisely why we see chess as the coolest game. It values reflection and time. That’s also why Kiblind thought of this to make its 52th edition a chess-themed one.

Together with Sculpteo and Adobe, Kiblind came up with a new contest to let creatives imagine a brand new set of chess figurines. The winner will receive a Creative Cloud licence from Adobe for a new and will have his figurine 3D printed by Sculpteo.

And to make it even better, Kiblind is organising a party around this! The event will stand at the Point Ephémère, by Jaurès metro station. From 6:30pm to 11pm, Sculpteo will animate a workshop around 3D printing among other activities proposed by designers and exhibitions.
