This Airsoft3D product is the Picatinny mount adapter for the Contour series of video cameras. It allows you to install your Contour bulletcam to your airsoft gun or paintball marker's Picatinny accessory rail. It is compatible with the following Contour models:
1) ContourROAM 2) Contour ROAM2 3) Contour ROAM3 4) CoutourHD 5) Contour+2 6) Contour+2 HD 7) Contour+
It will also be compatible with new Contour video camcorders that uses the same bracket as the models shown above.
You will need a M5x25mm (http://or #10-32x1") screw and a nut. The screw and nut are not included, but can be easily sourced from your local hardware store (e.g. Home Depot, Lowes, etc.).
The Contour Action Cam will feel loose on the adapter at first. But once the adapter is screwed down on the Picatinny rail, the tension will tighten the Contour Action Cam onto the mount adapter.
It is possible for an extreme force to knock the Contour Action Cam off this mount (or any mount for that matter). Therefore, the Contour video camera should be tethered (via its tethering slot) to the gun, in addition to being mounted via this adapter.
Note that this adapter is build to Picatinny specification. This adapter may work with some Weaver accessory rails. But if your rail is not made to the Picatinny standard, then this adapter may not fit properly and may require customization and expert installation. WARNING: Although you can use this mount adapter to fasten your Contour video camera to your real firearm, this adapter has never been tested with real firearms before. We do not know if the firearm heat/recoil will or will not damage the Contour camera and this mount. Use it with real firearms at your own risk.
