Price of Laser Cutting and Engraving

Your Price for Laser Cutting

Your price for laser cutting and/or engraving is automatically calculated when you put your vector file on our website. It is calculated interactively. Therefore, you can see it change in real time as you make modifications to your 2D file, or when you define your settings on the optimization page. To get the price of your laser cut or engraved item in just a few clicks, you just have to log in and upload your vector file.

If you would like an estimate on the price of your item but don't have your vector file, you can easily figure out the price depending on the size of the object and the material chosen, by using the table below.

The price for your object depends on certain factors, such as the amount of material used, the machine time necessary to do the cutting, and logistical costs.

In the case of cutting for specific materials (not available on the online site), we can also apply these minimum order charges. For specific inquiries, you can contact us here.

Your Price for Laser engraving

Like with laser cutting, the price for engraving your object is calculated using the surface area of the material used to make your object, as well as machine time needed to engrave it.

For laser engraving, the price for your item is very closely linked to the time needed for the laser to engrave the surface defined in your vector file. Since the laser is extremely accurate, laser engraving requires many passages. A good way to visualize the laser's work is to consider the surface to be engraved as a succession of very close hatches. The larger a surface area is, the longer it will take for the laser to complete its work.

In the case of engraving and/or cutting a material on request, the price for your object will include management fees and a minimum order, in addition to the factors described above.

Reducing the Price for your Laser Cutting or Engraving

Several parameters affect the price for cutting or engraving your object with a laser. Therefore, it's possible to adapt your vector file to your budget and reduce your cost for laser cutting or engraving:

    • by choosing a material adapted to your needs. Some materials and finishes require longer time for 3D printing and processing, or more expensive raw materials. Therefore, they are more expensive.
    • by reducing the amount of material used for cutting. By combining your vector drawings in the same file and positioning them right next to each other at the minimum distance required between cutting 2 lines, you can reduce the surface used and lower your overall price. If you order multiple copies of the same file, we will automatically position them as efficiently as possible, to best use the surface area.
    • by decreasing the time needed for the laser to cut or engrave your object. You can optimize your vector drawing by limiting the number of cut lines or decreasing the areas to be engraved. This also allows you to optimize the price of your item to be cut and/or engraved with a laser.

Your choice of production time may also have an impact on the price for your item.

For materials in stock, we offer two production methods:

  • Standard production service: your design is immediately placed in our production cycle and the production of your vector file is scheduled according to our machine availability. A shipping time for your pieces is given when your order is placed.
  • Express production service: your item is placed in priority in our production cycle to be cut as quickly as possible, within 48 hours in most cases (after payment is received for payment by check or bank transfer, and after your vector file is accepted by our production service). The shipping time is guaranteed; if we do not comply with this date, we will refund your order in the form of a credit on your account. This premium service is offered with pricing conditions other than with the standard service. This option is only available for certain materials.

For other materials, only the standard production method is available.

Your Production time for Laser Engraving

As cutting and engraving are done on request, the production time of your items is added to the delivery time. An additional period of 24 to 48 hours is necessary for particularly complex pieces.

Engraving your item may sometimes take longer depending on the load of the factory's laser cutting machines. The final time period is given when you place the order.

    Shipping Options

    European our American catalogues

For laser cutting, we produce your parts in two locations: in our factory in France or in our factory in the US. Each location has a different catalogue, which means that some materials are available only in one of the catalogues. No matter where you get your part shipped, you can order from either one or both of the two catalogues. However, keep in mind that ordering from the catalogue closest to you will lower your shipping cost and time. Moreover, if you order parts from both catalogues, you will pay both shipping fees.

    Country of Destination

The shipment is insured in all countries served by UPS, according to the shipping option chosen. The shipping and payment addresses do not need to be in the same country. Yet note that the Sales Taxes will be determined according to the destination country.

However, for reasons outside our control, shipping cannot be insured in Russia. For more information, consult UPS.
