Alexandre d’Orsetti takes over from Clement Moreau, who co-founded and led Sculpteo for over 13 years. Alexandre has a unique history at Sculpteo; after directing the design studio for six years, he is now the Managing Director of Sculpteo. Alexandre was with Sculpteo before and after its acquisition by BASF, giving him a unique position for maintaining continuity within the company and bringing fresh new ideas. During his years as Director of Sculpteo’s design studio, Alexandre worked closely with customers and the production team on project delivery and industrialization. The team consists of industrial designers and mechanical engineers, and the studio supports customers with the adoption of 3D printing technologies into their product development and production systems.
“The development of new materials with efficient mechanical properties, particularly by BASF, makes it possible to target new industrial applications. The freedom of design makes it possible to explore innovative technical solutions, such as lattice structures. The sector is developing rapidly, and applications are multiplying in the automotive, aerospace, architecture, and health sectors. For a designer, it is exciting to see how these technologies make it possible to rethink not only the shapes and design approach for parts, but also to revisit production and supply scenarios.”
– Alexandre d’Orsetti, CEO of Sculpteo
Alexandre is an industrial designer who graduated from ENSCI-les Ateliers. His job as a designer gives him a global comprehension of projects and a multi-disciplinary industrial culture. He is passionate about the current applications and potential of additive manufacturing and the resulting new production models.
